Intake that carries a bankruptcy case from first call to discharge.

Consumer bankruptcy runs on paperwork and dates: the means test, the document package, the filing deadline, the 341 meeting, and the discharge at the end. This pack stages your Lawmatics intake for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters, then keeps each of those dates in front of your team. A filing-deadline watch escalates as the deadline nears, a document chase collects the pay stubs, tax returns, and bank statements a case cannot be filed without, and 341 meeting reminders reach the client before the hearing. The client-facing tone stays plain and free of judgment throughout, because people arrive here after a hard season, not a moral failing.

What's being built

  1. Bankruptcy intake staged for consumer matters: chapter sought, filing status, household size, monthly income, debt types and totals, prior filings, garnishment and foreclosure flags, and credit-counseling status captured at first contact.
  2. A filing-deadline watch: escalating attorney tasks at 30, 14, and 7 days before the deadline, with client document nudges alongside, so a means test or an unsigned petition never quietly runs out the clock.
  3. A document-collection chase: a checklist for pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, and the debtor-education course, re-requested automatically and escalated to a task when the file stalls, because a case cannot be filed on a missing document.
  4. 341 meeting reminders: a preparation task two weeks out, then plain-language client reminders at seven days, two days, and the morning of the meeting of creditors.
  5. A post-hire pipeline shaped for filings: document collection, means test, petition prep, filed, 341 meeting, discharge.
  6. A five-email client education sequence, non-judgmental throughout: how the automatic stay stops collection, Chapter 7 versus Chapter 13 in plain terms, a gentle document head start, what life can look like after discharge, and a realistic timeline.
  7. Partner reports: a filings pipeline grouped by stage, and a watchlist of upcoming filing deadlines and 341 meetings.

The three core engines come preconfigured, with review requests held until a case reaches discharge.

Who it's for

Built for consumer bankruptcy practices that run on Lawmatics, or plan to: solo and small firms handling Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters, where the document package is the bottleneck and a missed filing or 341 date is the kind of slip a client feels immediately. Every client-facing message is general information and encouragement, never legal advice, and never a lecture. Like every LexLabs system, it installs into your firm's own Lawmatics account, and we handle the install.

Questions

When will the Bankruptcy Pack be available?
It is in the lab now and ships once it passes a full test install. There is no public release date yet. Join the waitlist by email and we will send one message when it is ready, nothing else.
What does the filing-deadline watch do?
Each matter carries a filing deadline. As it approaches, attorney tasks escalate at 30, 14, and 7 days out, with document nudges to the client alongside, so the means test, the document package, and the petition are all ready before the date arrives. It stops on its own once the matter is marked filed.
Do I need Lawmatics?
Yes. LexLabs builds for Lawmatics, and only Lawmatics. The pack will install into your firm's own Lawmatics account, and we handle the install and setup, the same as every LexLabs system.
